Bridge Effect: An hourglass, representing the Time of our Lives, appeared at 8pm and performed throughout the night with complex twists and turns before evolving into a Mandela at Midnight.

With the theme of Reflections, an extraordinary piece of art titled Reflections by internationally renowned sculptor Neil Dawson was suspended for a month from the Bridge to create light waves flitting between the Bridge and the water, stirring a million reflections.
Bridge Effect: A reflective ball sparkled like a giant gemstone as it reflected the lights and fireworks of the celebrations.

2003 saw Sydney become the City of Light. 16 Buildings around the CBD were lit up on New Year’s Eve and stayed alight for 18 days in January with the centrepiece being the spectacular Sydney Harbour Bridge light show.
Bridge Effect: A total of 120 beacons of light bounced from the Bridge to the water below to a fantastic pop soundtrack.
