2011 Soundtracks

Due to the positive reaction to the Sydney New Years Eve midnight fireworks soundtrack, the music directors Davide Carbone and Josh Abrahams (s:amplify) have teamed up with Michael Yezerski to create a new extended recording of the final 90″ audio piece that accompanied the City of Sydney’s New Years Eve Fireworks show in 2012.

A lively and modern percussive recording was added to the beautifully emotive choral arrangement originally written by Michael Yezerski. The Sydney NYE finale track is now available on iTunes and also includes the gripping and powerful orchestral crescendo composed by Davide Carbone and Josh Abrahams.

9pm Fireworks

Designed and choreographed specially for children, the 9pm firework delighted and dazzled audiences as the night sky filled with colour. This eight-minute performance was accompanied by a music soundtrack which featured chart hits from 2011 including songs by Rhianna, JLo, Wes Carr and Jessica Maubuoy. These fireworks were the prelude to the spectacular Midnight Fireworks display.

Midnight Fireworks

The Midnight Fireworks display was synchronised with a new music soundtrack specifically created for the event, which featured 100% Australian artists and composers.
