Midnight Fireworks and Bridge Effect

At the stroke of midnight, we celebrated the start of a new year! Sydney did this in style by lighting up the night sky with a spectacular Fireworks Display launched from seven barges on the Harbour, the rooftops of seven city skyscrapers and, unforgettably, from Sydney Harbour Bridge. Bringing more than 1.5 million people to the Harbour, this majestic 12-minute Fireworks Display is the reason why Sydney is the New Years Eve capital of the world.

The Sydney Harbour Bridge as took centre stage and captured the essence of Time to Dream through colours and a show stopping bridge effect to mark the new year and see our dreams and hopes come true.

Midnight Fireworks Soundtrack

The Midnight Fireworks were synchronised with a new music soundtrack specifically created for the event.

104.1 2Day FM exclusively simulcasted the soundtracks for the 9pm Family Fireworks and Midnight Fireworks.
