Bradleys Head: Athol Lawn

A wide expanse of lawn at the top of Bradleys Head in Sydney Harbour National Park, Athol Lawn is an ideal alcohol-free family viewing area for the Sydney New Years Fireworks with views of the harbour skyline. Some parts of the lawn have filtered views of the fireworks.

Getting here
- Ferries and buses operate regularly towards Taronga Zoo. Some road closures will be in place for general traffic. Attendees are encouraged to leave the car at home as on-site and nearby street parking is very limited.
Leaving
- After the fireworks limited ferries to Circular Quay will leave Taronga Zoo wharf, last service at 1:54am. Buses will run regularly towards Military Rd where you can connect with other bus services.
- Pedestrian diversions are in place on New Year’s Eve. The way you arrive, may be different to how you get home. Be prepared for a longer walk to transport hubs.
